Chinenye is a Corporate/Commercial lawyer with over 15 year’s professional experience as a solicitor and advocate. She is a graduate of the University of Benin and holds a Master’s degree in International Business Law from the University of London. She is a Notary Public for Nigeria.

Her professional experience includes but is not limited to arbitration, mediation, transaction advisory, policy analysis and review, commercial dispute resolution amongst others. She works with the financial services sector, venture tech and emerging growth companies; and provides transaction/investment advisory services to private sector investors and state-owned entities in infrastructure project initiatives and PPP projects in the Power and Renewable Energy sector.

Her experience and expertise in infrastructure projects under PPP schemes include both Greenfield and Brown field projects.

She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, United Kingdom, a listed member Panel of Neutrals of the Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration Lagos, the Federal High Court Dispute Resolution Centre Abuja, Abuja Multi Door Courthouse and the Court of Appeal ADR Centre.

Chinenye has acted as Sole arbitrator in several arbitral references and as counsel in arbitration disputes.

She is a trained Mediator, serving with the Court of Appeal ADR Centre.

Chinenye recently acted as Counsel and transaction advisor to a Start-up in the Renewable Energy Sector, on its entry into the Nigerian Market and Partnerships with intending service providers.

She is currently engaged in the negotiation and reactivation of an EMPC contract on behalf of a client with the NNPC.

She has also provided legal advisory services for an International Franchise in the Health and Recreation Industry.

Chinenye was part of the legal team in a multimillion-naira Facility Management Arbitration Dispute over the terms of a BOT contract.

She was engaged as a Consultant to coordinate and moderate a multi stakeholder engagement between Key survey stakeholders in the National Food Consumption and Micro Nutrient Survey.

Chinenye was a member of the Technical Committee to the Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and other Financial Institutions in respect of the establishment of the National Development Bank of Nigeria (Establishment) Bill 2017 vis-a-vis the Development Bank of Nigeria (DBN) Plc.
